F A Q’s

Q: In a warm state like Texas, do I really need insulation?
A: Insulation keeps your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Obviously, in southeast and central Texas, cooling is the main concern. And your main benefit. Insulation, whether a total replacement or additional added to existing insulation will reduce your energy bills and make your home more comfortable.

Q: Does insulation help with more than the temperature?
A: Insulation helps with temperature regulation for sure. And helps with sound proofing. Blown-in fiberglass, batt, spray foam all reduce sound transmission, from both the outside and from inside your home. Also, to stop drafts, look into sealing that is done with insulation projects.

Q: What age of homes already have insulation?
A: If a house was constructed before 1940 it likely won’t have insulation. If it does, it may need an upgrade (including clearing the old insulation.) So your beautiful classic craftsman home doesn’t have to be drafty! It is best to insulate a home as it is built, but there are options to add insulation into an existing home.
